Neuschwanstein
Neuschwanstein Castle

If you visit Bavaria, you don't want to miss the probably most famous castle in the world! During this day trip we will drive through the scenic Bavarian countryside, stop at the Ettal monastery founded in the 14th century and now a baroque jewel, stroll through Oberammergau with its artfully decorated houses and famous for its wood carved figures and visit the pilgrimage church in the meadows: Wieskirche, one of the finest examples of Bavarian Rococo and listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. After lunch in a traditional Gasthaus, the highlight is yet to come, King Ludwig's fairy tale castle Neuschwanstein. Situated on a rocky hill we can either walk up the 900 ft. path or let a horse-carriage take us there. Either way, the spectacular view and site will leave you awestruck. After a guided tour of the castle, we'll be heading back to Munich.
